Welcome to the Tasmanian Training Consortium
The Tasmanian Training Consortium (TTC) is a member-based organisation dedicated to enhancing the professional growth of the Tasmanian public sector workforce.
Established in 1996, we partner with highly qualified and experienced training providers to deliver practical, relevant and contemporary learning opportunities that meet the unique needs of public sector employees.
As a self-funded business unit within the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s State Service Management Office, we provide a clear connection between agencies and organisations to access quality professional development and training that builds capability, strengthens performance and delivers better outcomes for the Tasmanian community.
Today, we continue to offer a wide range of courses and programs designed to help individuals and teams grow the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to meet the challenges of a modern public service.

What we do
Manage an annual training calendar – Our main service is the coordination of an annual public training calendar. This includes a wide range of face-to-face and virtual courses that address the different capabilities required for public sector work.
Co-ordinate in-house training for members – Our member agencies and organisations often request to have our courses delivered in-house exclusively for their team. When we receive a request, we work with our training partners and other stakeholders to co-ordinate all aspects of the training.
Provide training and event support – Our team assist in the coordination of training and events delivered by our colleagues in the State Service Management Office including:
- the Manager Essentials Program
- Aboriginal Cultural Respect Training
- the annual Aboriginal Employee Network Gathering
- the Tasmanian Graduate Development Program
Promote Tasmanian Government endorsed training programs and events – we regularly promote other government run or supported programs and events that may be beneficial for our members.
