Welcome to the Tasmanian Training Consortium
The Tasmanian Training Consortium (TTC) sources, co-ordinates and evaluates professional development training for the Tasmanian public sector. We partner with highly qualified and experienced training providers to deliver a wide range of courses and programs that address the capability requirements for public sector work.
Our team strives to provide high-quality adult learning that effectively builds the capabilities of public sector employees and leads to improved services outcomes for the Tasmanian community.
We are a self-funded business unit within the Department of Premier and Cabinet, State Service Management Office. As Tasmanian Government employees, our team have the insight, knowledge and experience to understand and provide for the learning and development needs of the Tasmanian public sector.

What we do
Manage an annual training calendar – Our main service is the coordination of an annual public training calendar. This includes a wide range of face-to-face and virtual courses that address the different capabilities required for public sector work.
Co-ordinate in-house training for members – Our member agencies and organisations often request to have our courses delivered in-house exclusively for their team. When we receive a request, we work with our training partners and other stakeholders to co-ordinate all aspects of the training.
Provide training and event support – Our team assist in the coordination of training and events delivered by our colleagues in the State Service Management Office including:
- the Manager Essentials Program
- Aboriginal Cultural Respect Training
- the annual Aboriginal Employee Network Gathering
- the Tasmanian Graduate Development Program
Promote Tasmanian Government endorsed training programs and events – we regularly promote other government run or supported programs and events that may be beneficial for our members.
