The Training Consortium (TTC) operates within the Public Sector Management Office, Department of Premier and Cabinet, Hobart.
TTC provides services to a number of State, Commonwealth and Local Government bodies, government business enterprises, private sector organisations and the University of Tasmania all of whom recognise the need for a coordinated response to the training needs of their employees. This unique collaboration of organisations across Tasmania forms TTC’s membership base, enabling TTC to provide an infrastructure that maximises the training dollar by bringing quality training providers and the potential training pool to one coordinated point.
TTC provides the opportunity for sharing of expertise from within organisations—a pooling of the collective knowledge—as well as ensuring that members have access to innovative and forward thinking development opportunities. TTC promotes training and development services across Tasmania.
TTC provides a wide range of services to member organisations, however, its main activities are centred around:
· the development and co-ordination of TTC’s calendar of learning and development events
· the development and co-ordination of specialised or ‘in-house’ learning and development events for individual member organisations
· the provision of information on training courses and/or training providers to member organisations
TTC has a comprehensive database of available training courses enabling staff from member organisations to source information on a wide range of training and development programs and services.
TTC is a service provider. It does not have any influence over how individual member organisations meet their learning and development objectives.
The Consortium seeks providers and consultants to deliver training and/or consultancy services in a wide range of areas, for example, but not restricted to:
· People Management
· Customer Service Skills
· Communication Skills
· Change Management
· Leadership
· Computer Skills
· Performance Development
